I thought I would inform you that I am going to have to take a break from blogging, until we get internet connected in our house. This may be a month or two? Not for sure. We will see...but don't worry I will be back to blogging and keeping in touch. Have a great spring and summer, Love you all.
Just would like to let my viewers know that we are expecting number 3 :) Baby 3 will be born, Lord willing, sometime this September 2010. We are very excited, and please keep us in you prayers for a healthy baby and pregnancy.
As I was cleaning up our "toy room" I found several barbie dolls with no clothes on. Aunika has figured out how to take their clothes off, but is unable to put new clothes back on by herself. I don't know about you, but I absolutely hate naked barbie dolls! I think that they need to stay dressed, and when you want to take their clothes off, put new ones on right away. Needless to say, I could not leave them naked...so I got to play barbie doll dress up while my girls were tucked away in bed.
I finally finished the last on the four stocking I was making for Christmas! Just in time with a week before Christmas. Here is a look at them. The two Red ones are for Aunika and Alayna and the black and pink one is for me, and the black and blue one is for Brett.
Aunika and I baked some cookies this week. Peanut butter drops. She had the job of unwrapping all the hershey kisses! As we were doing this, she asked why we were making these cookies. I told her for church on Sunday. She then replied "ya, because mommy likes cookies, daddy likes cookies, I like cookies, and JESUS likes cookies too"! "Yes sweetie, and why do we have Christmas I asked her." She replied, "It is Jesus' birthday", "and what did he do for us," I asked. She said, "died on the cross for our sins, and now Jesus is in my heart" as she pointed to her chest and said "right here in my heart." I said you are sure right and she began to sing "Jesus Loves Me"
This is a moment I will not forget...I did not prompt her, she just said these things by herself, and began singing!
I say to all you stay home moms, that you need to find something you really enjoy to do. There is only so much cleaning, cooking, laundry, diaper changing, and playing with the kiddos that you can do before you go crazy! You need to find something that allows you to escape and feel like you are accomplishing something. Don't get me wrong, my kids are my joy and love...but I have found that you need to let them play by themselves too!
So I have taken up quilting. Here is a look at some projects I have made for Christmas. A Table runner and some stockings.
